Ms.
Mughal received her B.A. in political science from Syracuse University and
her M.A. in international relations from the Maxwell School of Citizenship
and Public Affairs, also from Syracuse
University. She has over 15 years of international
experience; serving the past eight years at Save the Children, where she is
currently the Associate Director for Development Communications. Prior to this position, she served as the
Asia Operations Manager for Save the Children, which included postings in the
Connecticut-based Headquarters, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Ms. Mughal also spent eight years at the
International Organization for Migration (IOM) based in Geneva, Switzerland as a project designer and trainer
as well as a desk office for the Africa
region. She is the author of a number
of migration-related articles as well as on widows in the developing world.
Ms. Mughal lives in Connecticut
with her husband and two young children.
